The Maronite Catholic Community of Sacramento was founded in November 2009 as a mission under the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon
to establish a Maronite Church in Sacramento to carry on the spiritual faith, culture and traditions of our Middle Eastern roots to future
generations in Sacramento, the Capital of California, and the region. Through the efforts and inspiration of Rev. Nabil Mouannes and with
the dedicated endeavors of the community, on February 23, 2011, the Mission closed escrow on their new church Our Lady of the Rosary
located at 6811 Fair Oaks Blvd., Carmichael, CA 95608. Coincidentally on the same day, Maronites all over the world were celebrating the
1600 year anniversary of Saint Maron by the installation of the marble statue of Saint Maron, which was blessed by Pope Benedict XVI,
at Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. Our Church is "a gift from heaven."
